Twilight on the Fens

A peaceful end to a long day on the North Norfolk coast. I set up my camera along the wetlands at Holme-next-the-Sea just as the final light was dropping into dusk. The air was completely still, throwing the geometric silhouette of the historic fen wind pump into sharp contrast against the twilight sky. Right on cue, a pair of swans glided quietly through the frame, creating gentle, soft ripples across the glass-like water.
