The Beacon's Heart
This photograph was born from a fascination with how light is bent and focused. Standing inside the lens room at Happisburgh, I pushed my camera lens right up to the massive, historic glass prisms. The black and white format highlights the incredibly sharp, repeating glass curves against the dark structural iron framing, turning a vital piece of maritime safety technology into an intricate, abstract study of texture and line.
