Shifting Shallows
The mudflats at Snettisham are an incredible landscape of shifting tides and endless reflections. I crawled along the wet shoreline at low tide, dropping my camera down to water level to capture this bar-tailed godwit as it methodically searched the shallows. The mirror-like surface of the tidal pool was completely still, doubling the elegant silhouette of the bird and creating a beautiful, clean sense of space and natural rhythm.
