Remains of the Tide

I have always been fascinated by the structural skeletons left behind by the sea. Standing at the edge of the Wash in Hunstanton, I found these old, decaying wooden posts marching straight out into the water. By using a heavy neutral density filter, I was able to leave the shutter open long enough to completely dissolve the waves into a smooth, featureless surface, leaving nothing but the raw, weather-beaten texture of the historic timber.
