A sudden movement across the Norfolk sky. I was waiting out a grey, overcast day at Snettisham when this flock of Eurasian spoonbills cut across the heavy clouds in perfect, sweeping alignment. By removing the colour, the image shifts away from documentarian wildlife photography and becomes a graphic study of collective movement, accentuating the sharp geometric angles of their wings against the stormy, textured backdrop.
